PURPOSE:To eliminate vibration and noise at time of abrasive operation as well as to get rid of any resistance against feed operation by reciprocating each of abrasive members being opposed in the reverse direction simultaneously with the feed direction of a workpiece or the abrasive member. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 2 is polished by the push-contact of an abrasive member 29 and the relative feed motion of this workpiece 2, and in addition to this method, it is also polished by reciprocation in the reverse direction each by the abrasive member 29. In addition to a fact that vibration and noise in a device are prevented by this reverse reciprocation, this reverse driving resistance to feed at the side of the workpiece 2 or the abrasive member 29 is countervailed with forward driving force, so that it will not come to the feed driving resistance at all. |
