PURPOSE: To prepare a microbicidal composition capable of synergistically enhancing the antimicrobial activities and improving the economical efficiency and safety due to a reduction in the amount thereof used and extending the activity spectral range by using the subject compound (microbicide) with other biocides in a specified proportion. CONSTITUTION: This composition is prepared by formulating (A) the subject compound with (B) 3-iodo-2-propynyl butylcarbamate, 1,2-dibromo-2,4- dicyanobutane, p-tolyl diiodomethyl sulfone, methylenebisthiocyanate, 2- thiocyanomethylthiobenzothiazole, tetrachloroisophthalonitrile, 2-n-octyl-3- isothiazole, bis-(trichloromethyl)sulfone, 5-bromo-5-nitro-1,3-dioxane, 2-bromo-2- nitropropanediol and/or 2,2-dibromo-3-nitrilopropionamide at about (150:1) to about (1:250) weight ratio of the ingredients A:B. The resultant composition is capable of manifesting synergistic microbicisal activities against a wide range of microorganisms. |
