PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the title apparatus itself and to also facilitate the maintenance of an ink ribbon or a recording head by using the ink ribbon constituted of the first ink transparent to infrared rays and near infrared rays and the second ink absorbing infrared rays and near infrared rays. CONSTITUTION:Two types of ink ribbons one of which parts of yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) are formed by applying sublimable inks of dyes transparent to infrared rays and the other one of which a black (BL) part is formed by applying heat-meltable type ink of pigment absorbing infrared rays using wax or a resin as a binder are used in one ink ribbon. In the recording of the first color, the part 10 of a face photograph and the part 13 of a signature are recorded by yellow (Y) ink and, next, these parts are recorded by the second magenta (M) ink and finally recorded by cyan (C) ink to complete the color recording of gradation image parts. Finally, a character part is recorded by the heat-meltable black (BL) ink to complete the recording of an ID card. |
