PURPOSE:To coat the outer peripheral surface of the lens with paint at a desired position in black of constant density by centering the lens while the lens is held on a rotary shaft with a vacuum sucking means, and then setting the lens closely to a coater and coating the lens while the lens is rotated. CONSTITUTION:The device consists of a conveyance unit 1 for the lens to be coated, a centering unit 2, a sucking and rotating unit 3, a coating unit 4, a coater cleaning and paint supply unit 5, and other attached units. A suction head 21a is positioned opposite above a lens 10 of 1st order to be coated among lenses to be coated which are arrayed on a palette 8a 8a, then an up-down cylinder 15a is put in operation to move down the suction head 21a, and the lens 10 to be coated in sucked and conveyed, and passed to the rotating unit 3. In this case, the coater 47 contacts the object lens 10 rotated and held on the rotary shaft 33 and paint which is supplied previously from the paint supply unit 5 to the coater 47 is applied to the outer periphery of the object lens 10. Thus, the film thickness of the paint is uniformed and uniform coating operation is carried out. |
