A tray is proposed in which a sheet (21) having information, advertisements or similar pictures thereon, is intended to be placed. The tray comprises a base part (1) and a top part (19, 19', 53) betwen which said information sheet or advertisement is to be placed. A sealing element (17, 17', 17'', 45) or sealing strip is located in a groove (11, 11', 41) in the neighbourhood of the border of the base part (1). This sealing effectively seals the interior volume against for instance hot water used in a dishwashing machine. The groove (11, 11') may be positionned at the region connecting the main flat portion (3) of the base (1) to the obliquely upstanding marginal portion (5) of the base. In this case a flat and transparent top part (19) is used and it is kept in place by means of an inwards protruding edge (15, 15'). According to another embodiment the sealing action is obtained by double sealing surfaces (33, 37) obtained when the margin of the top part is being shaped as a downwards directed groove and is pressed down to enclose the upper marginal portion (9) of the base part (1). |
