PURPOSE: To improve the throughput of a machine by providing a means for forming a 1st path extended to the entrance from the exit of a working spot and a means capable of selectively operating to transfer a medium to a 2nd path longer than the 1st path and leading to the entrance from the exit of the working spot. CONSTITUTION: The 1st path has length enough only for the shortest medium sheet and the 2nd path which can be selectively operated to carry the medium to the entrance from the exit of the working spot is provided. By making the 2nd path longer than the 1st path in the moving direction of the medium, the long medium sheet can be handled without sacrificing the throughput speed of the machine in the case of handling the short medium. A drum can be included in the constitution of the 1st and the 2nd paths. In such a case, the drum 24 in the 1st path has the outer peripheral length corresponding to the shortest medium handled in the machine. Thus, the media of various sizes are processed without making the maximum throughput speed low. |
