PURPOSE:To bring side fences promptly in its contained state and take emergency measures by releasing meshing of gears constituting a lifting mechanism of the side fences by a relief mechanism during erected state of the side fences when a patient falls in an emergency state. CONSTITUTION:In case of an emergency of a patient, a nurse operates a controller 16 provided at the head board side as side fences 1 to be contained are erected at the sides of the bed. Then a first link 11 is displaced and a rod 12 is moved to the right and a second link 13 is rotated clockwise. An intermediate member 15 of the head board and foot board side is pulled toward the second link side 13 against the elastic force of a spring 18. An interlocking shaft 8 moves back to the second link 13 side to release the mesh of the first gear 4 and the second gear 5. The second gear 5 becomes free and rotates promptly, directing to the lower part of the bed and hence, the side fences 1 to be contained are placed in the lower side of the bed. |
