PURPOSE: To arrange an indicator element even when a drill chuck has no special structure by using the indicator element as a position reporting means for a position sensor fixed to the outside of the drill chuck. CONSTITUTION: A drill chuck A is provided with a chuck body 1 to be connected to the drill spindle B1 of a drilling machine B, a chuck jaw 3, and a clamping ring 2 fitted unmoveably in the axial direction and rotatably against the chuck body 1 to move the chuck jaw 3. An indicator element 7 indicating the position of the chuck jaw 3 is guided by the clamping ring 2 and the chuck body 1. The guide by one of the clamping ring 2 and the chuck body 1 is formed as a screw thread coupling 11 having a screw groove coaxial with a chuck rotary shaft 4, and the guide by the other is formed as a translatory coupling 12 in the pitch direction crossing the screw groove. |
