A slideable guided front ski binding jaw has, below and within the sliding guide 6 fixed to the ski, a spring chamber 2 which is open towards the rear, in which a circular leaf spring 1 or the like is mounted, and on which a thrust plate 3, which acts upon it from the rear and is slideably guided, presses from the ski tip in the event of an impact. The thrust plate 3 is retained in the basic position by the counter-pressure of the leaf spring 1 or the like on the stop rib 4 projecting upwards at the rear end of the sliding guide 6.
