PURPOSE:To ensure that discharged sheets are folded to the same size and the folded sheets are stapled even if the folding function mode fails to be selected by providing an automatically folding function selection device by which the folding mode is automatically selected when the hybrid mode is designated and the binding function is selected. CONSTITUTION:The subject device is equipped with a hybrid mode designation device 61, a binding function selection device and an automatic folding function selection device with a folding function 1 by which a discharged sheet is folded to a specified size and a binding function 2 by which the discharged sheet is bound by a stapling device. The automatic folding functions selection device automatically selects the folding mode, if the hybrid mode is designated by the hybrid mode designation device and a binding function is selected by the binding function selection device. Subsequently, when an operator selects the hybrid mode and selects the binding function, the discharged sheet is positively folded to a half size such as in two halves or Z shape in the long size mode, if the operator fails to take procedures for selecting the folding mode. Thus the batch of sheets of the same size can be stapled. |
