PURPOSE:To suppress voltage variation and harmonic waves by inputting a reactive power and a harmonic current, and so controlling a self-excited converter as to suppress variation in the reactive power or the harmonic current. CONSTITUTION:A current command calculator 31 calculates a reactive power to be consumed by a load from a load current iL and a system voltage V, and further calculates a fundamental wave current command value iF* for compensating the reactive power. A harmonic current command calculator 32 calculates a harmonic current from a power source current is, and further calculates a harmonic current command value iH* to suppress the harmonic current. These command values are added by an adder 33 to obtain a current command value iC* of a self-excited converter 10. Accordingly, the converter 10 is controlled through an error amplifier 28 and a gate 29 in response to a deviation between the value iC* and the current iC flowing to the converter 10 to suppress a voltage variation upon change of the load and harmonic waves flowing to a power system. |
