发明名称 SUBLIMABLE THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory thermally transferred image on a plain sheet using a recording sheet whose transfer density does not deteriorate if it is used many times for printing by sublimably transferring dye from the sublimable ink layer of an area where thermal printing takes place from a specific recording sheet side under specific conditions to a dye receptive material layer on an image receiving sheet. CONSTITUTION:A sublimable thermally transferable recording sheet is used which consists of a sublimable ink layer area 2 obtained by adding and dispersing thermally sublimable in a polymer substance binder in a granular state and a dye receptive substance supply layer area 7 on a base. Initially an image receiving sheet 3 such as plain sheet is placed over a dye receptive substance layer of the sheet and a dye receptive substance is transferred to the image receiving sheet 3 under pressure or by heating the former. Next the image receiving sheet 3 with the dye receptive substance transferred is placed over the sublimable ink layer of the sheet. After this, thermal printing is allowed to take place on the recording sheet side under conditions such as [speed of the image receiving sheet]/[speed of a recording medium]>1 or [image receiving sheet feed amount]/[recording medium feed amount]>1. Dye in the sublimable ink layer of the thermally printed area is sublimably transferred to the dye receptive substance layer of the image receiving sheet.
