PURPOSE:To attain homogenization by dissolving Bi, an alkaline earth metal, Cu and Pb and/or Sb in the form of org. carboxylates or nitrates in water. CONSTITUTION:Bi, an alkaline earth metal and Cu in the form of org. carboxylates or nitrates are dissolved in water and the resulting aq. soln. is mixed with an aq. soln. of Pb in the form of org. carboxylate or nitrate and/or an aq. soln. of Sb in the form of nitrate to obtain mother liquor for producing a Bi contg. oxide superconductor. A solubilizing agent such as tartaric acid is added to the mother liquor and this liquor is concentrated by heating at 60-90 deg.C under acidic conditions to obtain a sol having 5-1,000cps viscosity. This sol is made to gel and sintered at 800-1,100 deg.C in an oxidizing atmosphere to obtain a Bi-contg. oxide superconductor. |
