PURPOSE:To attain proper command quickly and to improve the service by detecting the connecting state of a communication line being an object of talking, applying automatic talking to a destination via a telephone line being an object of picture transmission while using a detection signal as a start signal, discriminating the reply from the destination and sending a picture automatically. CONSTITUTION:The transmitter is provided with a device main body 1, a telephone set connection terminal 2, line connection terminals 3, 5, a telephone line 4 for the purpose of picture transmission, a telephone line 6 for the purpose of picture transmission, an auto-phone 7, an external line 8, an extension 9, a telephone set or the like 10, a video camera 11 and a monitor television receiver 12. The connection state of the line 6 for the telephone set 10 possessed already is detected, the detection signal is used for a start signal to attain automatic talking to the destination for the purpose of picture transmission and the reply from the destination is discriminated and the picture is sent automatically. When the user lifts up a handset of the telephone set 10 on holidays or the like, the state of the place with the video camera 11 installed thereat is confirmed automatically in the center being a remote location. Thus, the proper command and the improvement of service are executed. |
