PURPOSE:To effectively remove carbon compounds is a circulation solution by adjusting the molar ratio of Na component to Al component in the circulation solution in a Bayer's process, granulating the treated solution, classifying the prepared granules and heating the classified large granulates at a prescribed temperature. CONSTITUTION:A Bayer's process circulation solution in an alumina preparation process by Bayer's method is, if necessary, concentrated and adjusted to an Al2O3/Na2O of 1-5. The concentrated and ajusted solution is granulated and classified with wind, and the classified large granules are heated at a temperature of 500-1350 deg.C to remove carbon compounds such as organic compounds and sodium carbonate as carbon dioxide gas. The remaining classified granules are fed back into the granulation process and again granulated. The remaining gas after the wind power classification treatment is treated with a dry dust catcher and the caught fine dust is fed back into the main process. The decarbonized and heated granules are dissolved in the process mother solution or water and circulated into the Bayer's process. |
