PURPOSE:To inform an operator of the detachment timing of a storage medium with sounds by providing a sound generating means. CONSTITUTION:A data processor capable of processing a detachable medium like a floppy disk is provided with an amplifier 9 and a speaker 10. When the operator inputs the detachment processing to the processor for the purpose of detaching the floppy disk from a drive 7 after the read/write processing of the floppy disk, this input is accepted and the prescribed detachment processing is reported to the operator with sounds during execution of this processing. Thus, the operator is prevented from mistaking the detachment timing to detach the medium before the actual detachable state. |
