Cathode ray tube disposal - uses rotary drum mixer to break up glass with water to separate coating materials

In disposing of used cathode ray tubes, the separate cone and image sections are broken up in a rotary drum mixer, together with water which removes the coating materials on the glass. The waste water is then cleaned. Pref the cone and image presentation sections are cleaned at the same time, or they are cleaned separately. The waste water is cleaned by settling or filtration. ADVANTAGE - The method provides no hazards in disposing of the glass and the coating materials, using a conventional mobile concrete mixer to break up the glass and smooth out the sharp edges and with waste water which is contained for removal and cleaning.
