A panel support of a curtain wall of the type securing a panel 24 by holding its edges in four-sided, continuous and inside-facing grooves 19 constructed by providing a groove 19 on one side of each of the section members 1 which form vertical and horizontal frame members of a four- sided frame with a seal 16 positioned between the groove-forming side of the section members and the panel 24, and with a space 23 formed along and all around the edges of the panel. The improvement comprises forming the groove 19 on one side of each of the section members 1 by the section member 1, a thermal insulating connecting member 12 and a holding member 13 by fixing the holding member 13 to the one side of each of the section members 1 with the connecting member 12 held therebetween, pressing a portion 11 of each connecting member on the seal, and providing openings 27, 29 at least in the holding members 13 positioned on the horizontal frame members allowing the space 23 to communicate with the air. <IMAGE> |
