A cosmetic comprising as its essential components, (A) a horny layer lipid or its analogous substance and (B) a liquid di-fatty acid glycerol ester, provides a high degree of satisfaction on use, and exhibits excellent moisturizing and moisture-retaining effects. Horny layer lipids, both derived from living organisms and artificially synthesized, are used. Even better effect of the cosmetic can be obtained by the further addition of a low-molecular weight humectant component. |
