The interior of an omnibus is ventilated by an air scoop (2) mounted on the roof (1). The scoop (2) has air inlets which face in the forward direction of the vehicle. The scoop (2) has side air inlets (4) which are normally covered by flexible flaps (5) which are held in the closed position by the higher internal pressure due to the ram effect of the air flow into the scoop through the front inlets (3). These flaps (5) are held in place by supports (6) which exert a suction force on the flaps (5). USE - Omnibus ventilation scoop.
