Gas cooler arrangement of the annular flow type for piston compressor installations in which the annular path (6) has a gas collector (13) at its lowest point which is provided with one or more gas outlet openings (14). The central tube (7) is formed as a gas exhaust chamber (9) and each gas outlet opening (14) is joined to a nozzle pipe (15) which opens into the separator container. USE/ADVANTAGE - Cooler for a piston compressor used in the chemical industry which is capable of dealing with explosive or toxic gases.
