The motor vehicle has an engine (1) which drives the vehicle wheels (4) through a clutch (2) and gear box (3). The clutch is hydraulically actuated, by means of a pedal (5), a master cylinder (6), and a slave cylinder (8). - The master cylinder (6) is connected to the slave cylinder (8) by two pipes (7',7'') of different lengths arranged in parallel and connected to each other by T-pieces (9). Any vibrations generated in the system interfere with each other at the second T-piece (9), and so are damped out and are not transmitted to the clutch (2). This principle can be applied to any system of hydraulic actuation.
