Small electronic components, such as capacitors, have a rectangular section body shape (2) with projecting pins and are packed in layers in a box shaped housing (1). The layers of components are supported on spacing material (31) that has a corrugated profile and are in cut sheet form. The corrugations are of a rectangular shape and offer considerable stiffness. The projecting pins (22) locate in the channels of the next layer of packing, while the main body is supported on the lower layer. ADVANTAGE - Provides ordered packing for components.
