The hot and cold water mixing tap is fitted with a valve to prevent the return flow of used water. This valve is fitted in a housing (4/3) connected by a pipe (24) to the outlet of the tap mixing chamber. This housing is also connected to the hand-held spray head (26) by a pipe (25) and to the sink or hand basin drain (11) by a pipe (43). The valve which prevents the return flow of used water consists of two spring-loaded on-return valves arranged in series between the pipe from the mixing chamber and the pipe (25) to the spray head. These valves can be held open by atmospheric pressure but are closed by their springs if there is a reversal of the water flow. USE - Hot and cold water mixing tap.
