The disposable haemo-dilution appts has a needle (1) with a first Luerlock (RTM) union (5). A safety device seals off the needle, while a blood bag (23) is connected by a flexible hose (25) with a mating Luerlock (RTM) union (29) to the needle. An infusion apparatus has a drip chamber with puncturing needle for connection to a vessel containing a plasma-expanding solution.
