The vehicle disc brake consists of a movable housing (8) straddling the brake disc, with a hydraulic actuator for the brake linings. The housing has a holder (6) joined to a part of the wheel suspension. Supports and guides link the housing to holder (6) and a part (3, 4) of the wheel suspension, such as axle journals, pivot bearings etc. The wheel suspension may have a guide, such as a bolt (3), or a sleeve (4), on which the housing rests.
