<p>PURPOSE:To vary the display time of a picture by inhibiting a picture update process based upon new input data from being performed until a timer indicates that a update inhibition time is elapsed even when input data is stored in an input data buffer. CONSTITUTION:When the value of a parameter for the update inhibition time of a picture is inputted from an input means 4 previously, an update inhibition time setting means 5 sets the update inhibition time of the picture and a picture update control part 8 sets the timer 7 according to data on the update inhibition time 6 and reads out the time-up control of the timer 7 to perform the picture display processing a set time later. Data sent from other systems are stored in an input data buffer 1. Then a display output processing means 2 reads data for one picture out of the input data buffer 1 and displays them on the screen of a display device 3. Then when there are the data of a next picture in the input data buffer 1, the data of the next picture is displayed after the update inhibition time set in a picture update control part 8. Consequently, the display time of the picture can be varied.</p> |
