PURPOSE:To prevent a document from obliquely advancing on a document platen by controlling a document stop position to the document platen and an image reading start position so that a document feeding distance is made short in the case that the document is fed by a 1st document feeding means and in the case that the document is fed by a 2nd document feeding means. CONSTITUTION:The document S is fed from one end of the document platen 2 by the 1st document feeding means 50 and an image read by reading means 3, 4 and 7 is recorded by an image recording means 13, then the document S is ejected in a direction opposite to a feeding direction. The document S is fed from the other end to the platen 2 by the 2nd document feeding means 80 and the image read by the reading means 3, 4 and 7 is recorded by the recording means 13, then the document S is ejected in the direction opposite to the feeding direction in the same manner. In such a case, the document stop position to the platen 2 and the image reading start position are controlled and decided so that the document feeding distance is made short in the case that the document S is fed by the means 50 and in the case that the document S is fed by the means 80. Thus, the document is prevented from obliquely advancing at the time of feeding the document. |
