PURPOSE:To rapidly form a character pattern by computing the pattern of exclusive OR between a character pattern obtained by superposing a modification pattern to a character pattern and the original character pattern in accordance with a converted operation command and transferring the computed pattern to a display memory. CONSTITUTION:A dot font is transferred to a character work memory(1) 27 and a work memory(2) 28, the modification pattern is transferred to the work memory 2 through an AND so as to be obtain the same size, the contents of the work memory(2) 28 to the work memory(1) 27 to obtain the inverted image data of the pattern clipped by characters from the work memory 1. Then an operation command '0' is converted into an operation command(2) by a table in an operation storage part 5 and image data are transferred to the work memory(1) 27 by an operation command(2). Then the operation command(0) is converted into an operation command(3) by the table in the operation storage device 5, the contents of the work memory(2) 28 are transferred to the work memory(1) 27 by the operation command(3) and the contents of the work memory(1) are transferred to a bit map storage part 6. Thus, the processing time can be shortened. |
