PURPOSE:To obtain a coating material for crevice controlling film layer capable of forming an easily machinable film layer at a low cost by blending hollow ceramic balloons and a matrix containing resin for binding the above balloons at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A coating material for crevice controlling film layer is constituted of 20-80vol.% hollow balloons consisting of ceramic material and the balance matrix containing resin for binding the above balloons. As the above ceramic material, silica, alumina, etc., can be used. Further, hollow balloons of about 3-200mum grain size and about 0.5-5mum shell thickness are preferred as the above hollow balloons, and polysiloxane resin, etc., having hardness lower than that of the hollow balloons are suitably used as the above resin. This coating material for crevice controlling film layer is dissolved in an organic solvent, and coating is applied to a part where a fixed member and a movable member are in close vicinity to each other by using the resulting solution. By this method, the crevice between both members can practically be reduced to zero, and a film layer machinable at a low torque even in the case of a relatively soft movable member can be formed. |
