<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of roll thrust and to prevent the abrasion and breakage of thrust bearing by adjusting so that the bending force of horizontal roll and the offset quantity of roll are equalized on the work side and drive side. CONSTITUTION:As the result of controlling the vertical bending force of a work roll 3 and the horizontal bending force and roll offset quantity of an intermediate roll 7, a good plate shape can be obtained. And, since those magnitudes are controlled so that the bending force of horizontal roll and offset quantity of roll are equalized during rolling on the work side and drive side, only a thrust force that is negligible degree from the viewpoint of operation is generated. Therefore, the abrasion and breakage of thrust bearing are prevented and stable rolling can be performed.</p> |
