PURPOSE:To obtain the colored resin particles used as the toner for electrostatic charge development of a high image density by ultrasonically dispersing and dissolving a dye having a specific dissolving characteristic into an org. solvent varying in solubility parameter from resin particles, then dispersing the resin particles into the formed dye soln. CONSTITUTION:The dye having <=0.5 ratio [D1]/[D2] between the solubility [D1] of the dye into the org. solvent which does not dissolve the resin particles and the solubility [D2] of the dye into the org. solvent which dissolves the resin particles is used as the dye to be used for dyeing of the resin particles. The org. solvent which varies in the solubility parameter [SP value] of the org. solvent and the [SP value] of the resin particles to be used is used. The dye soln. is prepd. by adding the dye to this org. solvent and dispersing and dissolving the dye by irradiation with ultrasonic waves and thereafter, the resin particles are added to the formed dye soln. to color the resin particles. The colored resin particles to be used as the toner for the high-density images are obtd. in this way. |
