Lever (2) for placing under tension a means (3) for linking two parts of a boot, in which one of the ends (1) of the lever bearing against a stop (4) includes two arms (18) between which the linking means (3) extends; one (5) of the ends of the said linking means (3) is fastened to a threaded core (6) moving in translation inside a tapped (internally threaded) tube (7) constituting manoeuvring means mounted on the lever, while its other end is connected to a boot part. The manoeuvring means include at least two gripping means (8, 9) consisting, on the one hand, of a zone (8) of the cylindrical outer surface (17) of the said tube (7) left free through at least one aperture (10) made in the body (11) of the lever inside which the tube is incorporated, while still being capable of turning freely in rotation about its longitudinal axis, and, on the other hand, of an extension (12) of the said tube extending beyond the other free end (13) of the said lever (2). <IMAGE>
