METHOD SOLIDIFICATING USELESS LIQUID

In the solidification of boric acid-containing waste water, the waste water is pretreated by adding caustic soda to make the mole ratio of Na/B 0.2 ± 0.05 and so enhance the pH, and then adding limestone or calcium hydroxide to the above waste liquid to make the mole ratio fo Ca/B 0.2 ± 0.05. Thus boric acid in the waste liquid is precipitated in the form of a compound of calcium and sodium and solidified with cement after removing the liquid portion.
