PURPOSE:To detect the fault of a pantograph easily by forming an electric closed circuit other than a trolley wire through embedding a weak insulated wire in the contactor of the pantograph and by detecting breaking of the insulated wire at the time of deformation of the contact strip. CONSTITUTION:A slender and weak insulating coated wire 2 is embedded in or stuck on the contactor 1 of a pantograph to form an electric closed circuit other than a trolley wire. When the pantograph gets an excessive shock and the arrangement of the contactor 1 changes, the insulating coated wire 2 is cut and the closed circuit is placed in an open circuit state. A signal indicating open circuit state is transmitted from the high voltage part of the pantograph to the receiving part in a vehicle by radio or electromagnetic coupling to operate an alarm. |
