At one of their ends, these construction blocks (1a) comprise a vertical channel (2a) permitting the casting of a concrete pillar through the conduit formed by the continuous line of the channels of the various superimposed blocks. This channel and the other lightening channels (3a, 3b) open out freely on one or other of the horizontal surfaces in such a way that these blocks are perfectly reversible. Furthermore, in the area of this end, the thickness (E1) of these blocks is greater than that of the conventional type of breeze-blocks which are used for the erection of walls. These blocks (1a) thus have, on one of their large vertical surfaces, a part (4a) which is situated projecting from the rest (5a) of this surface and which can extend over a greater or lesser length. These construction blocks are intended to be used in a superimposed arrangement in the area of the corners between two walls and/or in the area surrounding the openings in a wall in order to imitate the appearance of structures formed by superposition of dressed ashlars of different lengths. <IMAGE>
