PURPOSE:To easily produce the composite implant material having excellent strength, toughness and bioaffinity in various shapes by supplying powder mixtures composed of the powders of metals or metal compds. and the powder of calcium phosphate approximately equal to a base material for implant onto the surface of the heated base material for implant and forming the implant material by welding. CONSTITUTION:An induction heating furnace 1 has an induction heating coil 5 a motor 7 for rotating the base material for implant and a 1st to 3rd feeders 9a to 9c which supply the powder mixtures A, B, C. A round bar of Ti is used as the base material for implant and the base material for implant is fixed to a revolving shaft 13 of the motor 7 via a jig 11. The motor 7 is mounted to a lifting shaft 17 of a lifting machine 15. Heating elements 27 are disposed to respective blowing out nozzles 23a to 23c to preheat the powder mixtures A to C to be blown together with gaseous Ar. The weldability of the powder mixture is improved by the preheating. The composite implant material having the desired shapes is easily obtd. by previously working the base material for implant to adequate shapes. |
