PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition having excellent characteristics as a substitute for CFC, especially as a solvent and composed of two or more components selected from specified dichloropentafluoropropanes, specified trichlorotetrafluoropropanes and chloroform. CONSTITUTION:Two or more components selected from CHCl2-CF2-CF3, CHClF- CF2-CClF2, CHF2-CCl2-CF3, CHClF-CClF-CF3, CHF2-CClF-CClF2, CHCl2-CF2-CClF2 and CHCl3 are blended to obtain the subject non-combustible composition having excellent characteristics as a solvent >= equal to those of the conventional CFCs, capable of use in the same way as in the conventional CFCs and, because thereof, capable of use as a substitute for CFC without requirement of a remarkable change from the conventional techniques. In addition, the above-mentioned composition can be obtained by reacting CF2=CF2 with CHCl2F or CHCl3 in the presence of a Lewis acid, especially AlCl3. |
