PURPOSE:To attain labor saving in the process for fitting a sealing boot between a cylinder and a piston, by providing a boot guide jig, and a jig for pushing in the boot and a jig for inserting the boot in the groove, both last mentioned jigs being constructed of a T-shaped supporting member and levers rotatably attached thereto. CONSTITUTION:The boot guide 7 is mounted on the operating end portion of the piston 3, and a boot 25 is put on the tapered surface of the guide jig 7 from above. The lower portion 17 of the shaft of the supporting member body of the jig for pushing in 13 is pushed into the vertical hole 12 in the direction as indicated with A, and at the same time the end portions 20, 20' of the levers for pushing in 18, 18' are kept in abutment with an annular recess in the boot 25 toward its center, so that the boot may be inserted in the groove 5 in which the boot is to be fitted on the side of the operating end portion of the piston. Then, by the use of the jig for inserting the boot in the groove 21, the lower portion 17 of the shaft of the supporting member body of the same being pushed into the vertical hole 12 similarly to the above, the boot 25 is inserted in the groove 6 in which the boot is to be fitted on the side of the opening end portion of the cylinder. |
