PURPOSE:To form a motor in a small size with the necessity for reference position alignment eliminated in an initial check by providing a means for executing a system down after the motor is placed in a reference position where steering ratio obtains the maximum value of a reverse phase. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition switch is detected off by an ignition switch detecting means 28b, a steering ratio variable means is controlled by a motor control means 28a in accordance with a car speed. Next by actuating a motor 26 for changing steering ratio which is ratio of a rear wheel steering angle to a front wheel steering angle, the motor 26 is placed in a condition that the steering ratio, which is a reference position, becomes the maximum value of 1 reverse phase, and after detecting this condition, a system down is executed by a system down means 28c. |
