Plasma visual display screen of the flat, discharge type, making it possible to obtain high brightness, long lifetime of the luminescent layer and maximum effectiveness of the light emission by producing all the electrodes on the rear panel (10) in glass. It comprises auxiliary anodes a part (11a) of which is exposed along a passage (17) for electrically charged particles so as to be insulated by a first dielectric layer (12) and to cross the display cathodes (13a, 13b) produced on the rear panel (10) in glass. The second dielectric layer has a plate (14') for stopping the light in order to hide the auxiliary display region of the auxiliary anode to the front, the stop plate projecting and extending to the upper level of the uncovered auxiliary anode. <IMAGE>
