Controlling intensity of individual halogen lamps in installation - using IR radiation to carry digital addresses and commands to receivers in lamps
摘要
Several halogen lamps are connected in parallel at a common cable pair and supplied from the same central power source. A central transceiver is also connected to the cable and uses infra-red radiation to send serial digital address and command data to decentralised receives at the lamps. A lamp's receiver decodes the data and uses the commands to control the power delivered to its lamp by a power regulator. Address and command data may be sent from lamp to lamp along the chain using decentralised transceivers in the lamps. The nearest lamp receives the commands first and the most remote, last. A lamp's transmitter turns on after its receiver has turned off.
