PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of the quality of a copied image by rotating a photosensitive body an appropriate number of times when exchanging a clean ing kit and controlling the elimination of a toner image with a blade of the cleaning kit while adhering the toner image. CONSTITUTION:In a cleaning action after the exchange of the cleaning mechanism 15, the specified toner image is formed on the photosensitive body 5 without feeding of a recording paper or an action of the fixing device, and the cleaning mechanism 15 is activated to control the elimination of foreign particles adhered to its cleaning blade 17 along with the toner image. At this time, the toner image formed on the photosensitive body 15 are preferably made to be checkered, horizontal or hatched lines placed at specified spacing, or a net pattern of specified dots, being patterns placed at intervals. Thus, deterioration of copied image quality immediately after the exchange of the cleaning kit 15 can be prevented. |
