PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the durability and accuracy of an iris diaphragm by using an electronic shutter function so as to control to the brightness of a monitor screen when a video signal is monitored in the case other than the pickup and using an exposure control means on picking up. CONSTITUTION:An electronic shutter function is used when a video signal is monitored in the mode other than the pickup for recording to control the brightness of a monitor screen and an exposure control means is used at the pickup for the recording. When an electronic view finder 5 displays a video image by a pickup means A in the mode other that the pickup mode, an electronic shutter E being a shutter function provided to the pickup means A is implemented continuously, the exposure quantity is controlled and adjusted by varying the shutter speed, and an iris diaphragm means D applies the exposure adjustment control on picking up. Thus, the deterioration in the durability and accuracy of the iris diaphragm is suppressed and the iris mechanism of the fixed iris changeover type can be adopted. |
