Black smoke prevention method on diesel engine starting - using electromagnetic valve to open line by passing engines turbocharger

The method actuates a bypass valve depending on the engine's condition. When the engine is started the bypass valve is opened and kept open for several seconds. The bypass valve (13) has its operating mechanism (14) connected to the ignition lock (22) (or other device that operates before the engine starts) such that the bypass valve opens. A changeover valve (20) operates the device (14) and is located in the control line (18) from the compressor (9) to the bypass valve. The bypass valve is a water-gate type with an electromagnet (24). USE/ADVANTAGE - Prevents put of black smoke from exhaust immediately after engine has started.
