The invention consists in an improved extendable table top which is made up of two flush sections which are juxtaposed and separable by sliding apart, and a third concealed central section between and below the two upper separable sections, both separable sections being connected to the corresponding end of a cable mounted on pulleys, with the lower surface of the concealable central section having perpendicular supports, the lower ends of which, in the concealed position, rest on the straight lower section of a zigzag ramp so that when the two separable parts are separated simultaneously the cable, by means of a lug, engages with a projecting member of the central section and moves it up the slope of the ramp to the horizontal zone thereof, with the result that the central section is fitted flush into the opening left by the separation of the two separable sections. <IMAGE>
