The exhaust for combustion engine has a catalyst in which the exhaust gases are made to flow twice through the catalyst (15). - Firstly the exhaust gases enter the catalyst at the inlet (E) and flow in one direction; secondary the gases flow in the opposite direction towards the outlet (A) in the catalyst housing (13), after circulating in a free volume in the end of the housing.
