<p>PURPOSE:To omit the useless transfer and processing control of data by forming the circular connection among a host device, the bus masters, and the slaves and switching the bus of the slaves between the system and local buses for transfer of data in a single direction. CONSTITUTION:A slave device CS contains the buffers BF1 - BF4 serving as the connection switch means which performs the selective connection to at least one of an address bus AB3 serving as an access path to the CS itself, a data bus DB3, a system bus 4, and a local 5, and a bus selection latch LT. The connection switch means receives an access from a host device 1 via the bus 4 and switches the access path to the bus 5 and at the same time receives an access from a bus master 2 via the bus 5 to switch the access path to the bus 4. Thus it is not required to transfer the data to the device 1 via the master 2 and therefore to substantially improve the processing ability of the master 2.</p> |
