Vertical load transmitting bracket - comprises insulating layer in moulding built into wall

The bracket transmits purely vertical loads in buildings, particularly to a wall. A layer of elastic heat- and/or sound-insulating material is provided, and the support is formed by an elastic plate also having insulating characteristics. During production the bracket (1) is inserted in a rectangular trough-shaped moulding (10), the latter being inserted in the wall as this is built. The insulating layer (14) lines the inside of the moulding except at its bottom surface (23). The bracket tapers at the sides and top, so that on insertion in the moulding the layer is compressed and seals the latter's interior. ADVANTAGE - Simplicity and easy handling.
