In a ventilation system for the ridge of a roof construction, a strip of an air permeable material (1) is located with the centre area (2) over the ridge lath(11) and has side areas (3) with a wave form section which have twice the length of the centre area (2) and can conform to all roof contours (9). - The material (1) consists of a polylene fabric or textile fabric impregnated with resin and has bonding tapes (5) for attachment to the roof (9).
